The red wine Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil is produced in the Loire Valley only in the commune of the same name. This small appellation still produces more than 8 million bottles per year thanks to the 140 winegrowers present in the appellation. This territory with a semi-oceanic climate is made up of sand and gravel around the Loire on low terraces. While above the terraces the vines grow on tuffeau soils covered with sand. The Pigeur Fou 2020 vintage is a single-varietal cuve composed of Cabernet Franc. It is also the only grape variety used in the AOC Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. Red wine lovers particularly appreciate it for its aromatic finesse, structure and liveliness. It is mainly found in the Loire Valley but also in Bordeaux.
